(Un) tethered Materiality: The Fabric of a Fraught Landscape
Olga U. Herrera
This collection investigates artists whose work engages connection and/or disconnection from a homeland that is recognized or is not recognized by the nation-state, and the ways artists explore dispersal and relationships to space and people. While Latinx studies favors a view of diaspora that challenges assimilationist paradigms, this collection encourages new questions and approaches to the analysis of diaspora.
